Beautiful ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD 6 KEY PICCOLO late 19th Century 12 inches (305mm) long Rosewood 6 nickle keys, tuning slide & nickle fittings. Gives voice easily, with a good tone. The key springs are all good, but pads need attention, so it becomes progressively “breathy” as you play down the scale. With the tuning slide set 1/2 way, it plays in A440. The keys all work ok, (but, along with the pads, they would probably benefit from a service). It is in very good, antique condition, with no splits, or repairs to the woodwork (see photos). This is a fine quality , antique instrument, and it would be lovely to play, and make a great addition to any collection. Please see the photos for condition and type weight approx 110 grams.
