Pearl PF-505 open hole flute. The Pearl PF-505 is one of the post popular student model flutes in the US and Japan, and is frequently recommended by teachers in top programs. They are extremely durable, reliable, hold their value, and sound great – Band director approved! The 505 features a durable alloy body with heavy silver plating, open hole keys, French Cups, and offset G. Excellent bright, lively sound and response, very easy to play and learn on. They have a great sparkle to their sound. This flute was lightly used. It shows only light surface wear and small nicks from minimal use, including some scratching on the lip plate. It looks excellent overall – cosmetically a 9/10. The flute has been completely disassembled, cleaned, oiled, reassembled, adjusted, and checked over. It plays perfectly from top to bottom, better than new. It is 100% ready to go! The flute comes with a durable hardshell plastic case with clean/like new blue interior, and a cleaning rod. The case is in good condition and shows only very light signs of exterior use from storage. This is a chance to save a ton on a great, lightly used instrument. This is perfect for a beginner or advancing student wanting to move up to an open hole. It will also make a great spare flute or marching instrument for a high school or college student. Haynes Schwelm Flute serial 362140
Haynes is one of the very top names in American Flutes, favored by famous flautists the world over, including the renowned Jean-Pierre Rampal. This flute is from the company owned by his son, William W. Haynes, and his partner, John Schwelm. This flute is what Haynes-Schwelm termed their “Regular” model, which might be construed as an intermediate level student flute. It is a “C” flute, closed holed and chrome plated. The body is in excellent condition overall, with no dents and only a couple almost imperceptible dings. The chrome is in great shape too, with some missing at the cap, and slight miscoloring on the chrome from wear and age. The flute comes in what is presumed to be its original hard case, and with a cleaning rod.
