Silver Plated Getzen 940 Four Valve Piccolo Trumpet. The quality of these piccolo’s are so impressive both in playability and sound. This one was manufactured around 1984 and is in wonderful condition. The valves are classic Getzen, fast, quiet, smooth and responsive. The sound is lyrically centered with a pleasing refined timbre. All slides are free and functional and this trumpet looks closer to a one year old horn than one that is 35 years old. If it weren’t for a few light scratches on the third valve casing and leadpipes it could pass as a new trumpet. Included is the original Getzen case which shows wear but is structurally sound with working latches and a solid handle.
