Antique Vintage Old Wooden Eb Six Key Flute Piccolo Jones London

Up for sale is my 19th. Century antique six key Cocus piccolo in Eb. This piccolo is in very good condition, with all parts present, bar the ferrule on the foot. The broad, knurled bands and keys are made from nickel silver, and the instrument is in full playing order. Stamped on the barrel is; G. Jones’s Commercial Road business was established in 1851 and he remained in the vicinity until 1887. There is one repaired crack in the barrel, which is fully sound (see photo 6). This piccolo plays for me at A = 440 Hz. With a tuning slide extension of 6 mm. The F and Eb (E and D on a D instrument) need some lipping down to pitch, and the open D (C#) benefits from lipping up. Intonation is very good, with the usual slightly flattened F#. All in all a good example of its kind, and a nice addition to the session arsenal. Antique Vintage Old Wooden Cocus Piccolo Fife Flute Wallis London

Up for sale is my 19th. Century one key Wallis Bb piccolo. This piccolo is in very good condition, without cracks or damage, and the only part missing is the crown. It is made from dark Cocus, although it appears to be Blackwood in the photos, when held in strong sunlight, you can see the distinctive grain pattern and reddish/brown hue. This instrument plays in Bb at A = 440 Hz, using a downwards embouchure, and speaks with a clear, strong voice. Intonation is good for a period instrument, with the C (E on a D flute) requiring slight lipping down. It is clearly stamped on all three sections (see photos 6-7). Vintage Camco Oaklawn 3 1/2 x14 Model 702 Jazz Model Snare Drum, Extremely Rare

Vintage Camco 3 1/2 x14 Oaklawn Jazz Model Snare. If you’re reading this you already know how rare and collectible this snare is. Unfortunately, somewhere along the line extra holes were drilled on both the strainer and butt side. When I received the snare it had no strainer or butt, no drum key holder or key and no snare wires. The jet black wrap is original and in very good condition with the exception of the holes obviously. Oaklawn badge is clean and tight to the shell. Original early George Way solid lugs, 1st Generation COB rolled hoops, short t-rods and chubby washers. The resonant COB hoop has a very small split which can be seen in the picture just below the drum key holder. It’s not going anywhere but a touch of JB Weld on the inside might be appropriate. I was able to find an original drum key holder, and ordered a George Way/ Dunnett reproduction strainer and butt along with a new set of Puresound wires so I could put the snare together. In the pictures of the strainer and butt you’ll see that I put some black tape on the outside to cover the holes… Mainly to see what it would look like if the holes weren’t there. There are a number of things that could be done to the shell… Plug the holes and patch to match the existing wrap, plug and rewrap the snare completely… Or leave it like it is and let the new owner decide what to do. In my opinion it would be best to just leave it like it is, which is what I’m doing. This is a really amazing snare and it sounds incredible. Manufactured by Premier Percussion at their factory in Leicester, England in the late 1960’s / early 1970’s. 6 Lug Natural Mahogany Shell. Fitted with the original Premier New Era Batter Head. The Premier Everplay Resonant Snare Side Head had a few nicks in it which have been repaired. The original Premier New Era Snare Wires ties are Real Leather. Vintage Pearl Drums Free Floating 3.5 X 14 Brass Free Floater Piccolo Snare Drum

As you know, these original 80s vintage Free Floating brass piccolos dont pop up that often – especially with all original parts. Drum is factory original, except for the used heads. Could use a thorough detailing. See pictures above and overview below. Make a reasonable offer or BIN immediately. This drum is also available on Reverb. If needed, more photos available there. I have fully scrutinized this drum and determined it is in generally good used condition. Plenty of little things, but nothing that will prevent you from immediately putting it on your kit and playing it. There is significant micro-pitting on the chrome plated die cast rims and general weathering apparent. Lugs look good from 10 away. But, they have micro-scratches. Brass is tarnished. Integrity of shell and edges is very good. Inside is very clean. Badge is good. Heads are used. But, tune up nicely. Snare wires are original extended and very good. This is an outstanding drum for the player or sound engineer looking to add a high-end drum to their collection, for less. She aint the prettiest… But, looks pretty darn good, still. Vintage Tama Drums Japan Power Metal 3.25 X 14 Brass Piccolo Snare Drum 10 Lugs

Factory original drum – except batter head. This model snare was the snare of choice of Tama artists back in the 80s & 90s. Make a reasonable offer or BIN immediately. This drum is also available on Reverb. If needed, more photos available there. I have fully scrutinized this drum and conservatively determined it is in very good used condition. This drum is NOT mint. But, as youll see, shes a beauty still. There are very lite micro-scratches on the lugs and Mighty Hoops. Integrity of the shell and edges are excellent. Brass shows some oxidation spots. Badge is clean. Original bottom head is clear, but well-used. It is frayed in spots along the edge – tape adhered to reinforce. Never noticed until I removed the rim to inspect. Barely used Evans HD Dry batter head installed. Original snare wires are good. One wire is missing – 19 strand. Strainer & tension rods are excellent. This is an exceptional used vintage drum with no real issues of concern. This is one stellar snare for the player, recording engineer or collector. The sound, of course, is extraordinary. Please examine all photos.
