Blessing artist Eb/D Trumpet
Blessing artist Eb/D Trumpet. This is a Blessing Eb/D trumpet. The instrument has a raw brass finish and has been modified with an Edwards D4 leadpipe and a new brace arrangement that made the horn much more free blowing. The horn does need some work to make it perfoming optimally. The first slides on both the Eb and D side do not move as smoothly as they should and since I haven’t had much use for the horn hasn’t been corrected yet. All original parts will also be included with the horn for individuals interested in restoring it to it’s original state. Yamaha Piccolo Trumpet in C Model 9910, Custom Series, Rare
Nstrument is ideal for Baroque Era / Clarino repertoire. It is a particularly suitable instrument for the Brandenburg. Exploration of certain repertoire for Oboe and Recorder also works well on this instrument. Note: This model is the Herald-style construction, straight through, not the version with the shaped lead pipe. Both the lead pipe and bell ends are tunable. As much as I hate doing it, I tested and the slides really do pop. There are no dings or previous repairs. Couesnon Monopole F/G Trumpet. (Piccolo) 1960’s Vintage, Rare, Collectors
Rare, Collectors: Couesnon Trumpet in F/G. Letter N on the 2. Valve right side, as well as Crest and Conservatoire Paris on the left side. Letter B on lead-pipe receiver. The instrument feels and sounds typically French-styled. There is undoubtedly reach into the classic Maurice Andre / Selmer sound and style. Within its context, the instrument bore is unusually/ interestingly large at 11.56 mm (0.455), which I measured at the first valve pipe. Bell diameter is 120 mm (4.724 inches). I find it warm, open and forgiving. I have never spotted evidence of any previous repair on this instrument. The lacquer sparkles and tiny blemishes are hard to spot. Please zoom in on the area of the leadpipe in line with 2. Valve, to see light surface scuff in the lacquer here. I don’t want to buff it too vigorously. The valves are quite pristine and glide beautifully. This instrument is a tribute to great master-craftsmen of its time. Devotees will know that Couesnon serial number records were lost in a fire, (two, in fact), and so the serial number 37495 confirms little. The last digit is not penned in, but this confirms that it is a 1960s vintage. Four other mouthpieces will also be supplied, that I have found to work well on the instrument. They have been altered in a way that they can only be fitted to this instrument. Their outer shanks have been specially milled to take the place of the removable/ tunable lead-pipe receiver; consequently, bypassing the need to use cornet shanks. I found this innovation to be very successful. These pieces are as follows. Jupiter 10 ½ C. Engineered and nickel-plated identical copy of the Amati 7EW that I use on my YTR 9830 (My favorite). VERY RARE Bach 311 Stradivarius Bb Piccolo Herald Trumpet with Bach hard case
A VERY RARE FIND – Original condition Bach Stradivarius model 311 Bb Piccolo Herald Trumpet with orginal Bach hard case! This old & rare Bach piccolo herald longbell trumpet still plays just fine, but the plating and lacquer has started to wear thin & is pitting in places all throughout the horn and the bell is creased and dented. However, the only issues with this unique & rare classic Bach piccolo herald trumpet are all cosmetic. All three (3) valves work just fine and the horn still plays very well for its age. This instrument is still in its original condition and comes with an original VINCENT BACH 7C (cornet size) mouthpiece. With a little TLC, this will make a very valuable collectors item which I just dont want or need anymore (as Ive had it well more than 30+ years)…. Plus, it plays well (its a Bach)!
