For sale is an antique, beautiful, and handmade Adler flute and wooden piccolo set! The flute is a seamed tube design and plays with great intonation, tone and feeling. Both instruments have been recently restored, the piccolo and the flute have great pads. The vintage case is in excellent condition as well. This is a very rare, highly functional, professional set with a lot of history and character behind these instruments. The piccolo plays well currently but could likely use an adjustment after the journey to wherever it is going to, as vintage instruments (especially piccolos) are more fragile and sometimes need adjustment no matter how well packed they are. Antique Gebruder Monnig Flute #13234 & Piccolo #13104 with Headjoint Adapter, Case

You are looking at an Antique Gebruder Monnig Flute and Piccolo with Headjoint Adapter and Walnut Case. The flute is a wood body with unlined wooden headjoint. This is a Pre- WWII open-hole model with silver mechanism, Split E and D# roller. This may have brass inserts in the open hole keys. No splits or cracks and plays very well over the entire range. The piccolo plays well (hasn’t been played much) and the pads have been replaced. The headjoint adapter for the flute is custom made from blackwood and it allows to be used with modern headjoints (Jupiter and Abell wooden headjoints have been used to play). Antique Vintage Old Wooden 4 Key Irish Bb Flute Piccolo Henry Potter London

Up for sale is my 4 key Cocus Bb. Piccolo made by Henry Potter of London (1859-95). Stylistically, it appears to be an early example of this maker’s work. Made from quality hardwood, and Nickel Silver keys, this lovely instrument is in full playing order, easy to play at 455 Hz. And has a surprisingly powerful rounded voice. There are a few historic crack repairs to head and ring (see photos 2-4) which are sound. Other than this, the piccolo is in very good overall shape. Stamped with a B. And then (Unicorn) “POTTER LONDON” on the head, and (Unicorn) HENRY POTTER. B on the body. Antique Vintage Old Wooden Eb Six Key Flute Piccolo Jones London

Up for sale is my 19th. Century antique six key Cocus piccolo in Eb. This piccolo is in very good condition, with all parts present, bar the ferrule on the foot. The broad, knurled bands and keys are made from nickel silver, and the instrument is in full playing order. Stamped on the barrel is; G. Jones’s Commercial Road business was established in 1851 and he remained in the vicinity until 1887. There is one repaired crack in the barrel, which is fully sound (see photo 6). This piccolo plays for me at A = 440 Hz. With a tuning slide extension of 6 mm. The F and Eb (E and D on a D instrument) need some lipping down to pitch, and the open D (C#) benefits from lipping up. Up for sale is my 6 key Blackwood antique piccolo. This instrument is in full playing order. It plays in D at A = 440 Hz, with the tuning slide extended 3 mm. Intonation is very good, with the usual slightly flattened F#. All in all a good example of its kind, and a nice addition to the session arsenal. Antique Vintage Old Wooden Cocus Piccolo Fife Flute Wallis London

Up for sale is my 19th. Century one key Wallis Bb piccolo. This piccolo is in very good condition, without cracks or damage, and the only part missing is the crown. It is made from dark Cocus, although it appears to be Blackwood in the photos, when held in strong sunlight, you can see the distinctive grain pattern and reddish/brown hue. This instrument plays in Bb at A = 440 Hz, using a downwards embouchure, and speaks with a clear, strong voice. Intonation is good for a period instrument, with the C (E on a D flute) requiring slight lipping down. It is clearly stamped on all three sections (see photos 6-7). Beautiful ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD 6 KEY PICCOLO late 19th Century 12 inches (305mm) long Rosewood 6 nickle keys, tuning slide & nickle fittings. Gives voice easily, with a good tone. The key springs are all good, but pads need attention, so it becomes progressively “breathy” as you play down the scale. With the tuning slide set 1/2 way, it plays in A440. The keys all work ok, (but, along with the pads, they would probably benefit from a service). It is in very good, antique condition, with no splits, or repairs to the woodwork (see photos). This is a fine quality , antique instrument, and it would be lovely to play, and make a great addition to any collection. Please see the photos for condition and type weight approx 110 grams. FINE QUALITY ANTIQUE ROSEWOOD 6 KEY PICCOLO A440 1800s flute fife vintage. This is a beautiful. In my estimation it dates from around the late 19th Century, but please make up your own mind about this. The piccolo measures approx 12 inches (305mm) long and is made from rosewood with 6 nickle keys, a tuning slide & nickle fittings. The instrument gives voice easily, with a good tone.
