There are very thin cracks at the head where it is attached to the body. Please make sure that you see all the photos! The instrument may need service and cleaning, as new pads and corcs. The valve action is classic Getzen, fast, smooth and quite , with strong compression. All slides are free and functional. Included is the original Getzen case which is structurally sound with working latches and a solid handle. The silver plating is nice, the only loss is a little on the bottom caps. IT COMES WITH 2 HEADJOINTS, 1 WOOD AND 1 SILVER. NICE WELL KEPT PICCOLO AND STILL LOOKS GOOD AND IT DOES PLAY WELL. AS IT IS, BUT YOU MAY WANT IT TO BE ADJUSTED TO YOUR DEMANDING SPECS, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE OF THE MIX OF PAD CONDITION. THE KEYS ON THE PICCOLO ARE SILVER AND STILL LOOK NICE AND JUST SHOW A. SMALL AMOUNT OF WEAR FROM NORMAL CAREFUL USE. 5 OF THE PADS ARE FAIRLY NEW. A FEW ARE MODERATE WITH SEVERAL. THAT ARE DEFINATELY OLD. THIS WAS ADJUSTED RECENTLY AND THE PICCOLO DOES. Overall, the condition is very nice. I did not polish it, and I’m sure a good polish would make it look great. The case shows normal wear, age, and use.
