Vintage Handmade Artley Seaman Wood & Silver Piccolo with 2 Headjoints & New Case

This listing is for a nice vintage Artley grenadilla wood piccolo in need of a little TLC but plays well as-is. The right hand rib has been pulled up a little (some missing rib screws in this area) and the pads are older but it does play well as-is and has no cracks. This piccolo was made by Roy Seaman for Artley’s line and is a great semi-pro American-made option for someone looking for an upgrade. This piccolo originally came with just the sterling silver headjoint but it paired beautifully with a new old stock Armstrong grenadilla wood headjoint to offer it as a fabulous combo. Again the pads are older, would recommend a full repad and the right hand rib to be adjusted/straightened, but it is playable as-is. There are some very lightly etched numbers we almost didn’t notice on the barrel, likely old inventory reference #. The wood could use a good cleaning and oiling from sitting also. Included with the set is a new Emerson carrying bag with new case to fit everything perfectly. We will be offering more instruments in a variety of specs and price ranges in the near future! Piccolo Roy Seaman Handmade Pre Gemeinhardt

This piccolo serial number puts this instrumental as a “real deal” handmade pic. Made by Roy Seaman himself. This is the same model the piccolo you hear in movie soundtrack tracks like Star Wars was played on. Where the serial number is and the number itself was what I used in getting my info. I think the last pics out of Roy’s shop were around 5000. You can see by the pics this is lower. It is grenadilla wood. If it doesn’t have the Gemeinhardt logo, it likely is one of his!! It had/has a fabulous tone… Glorious low register and wonderful richness of tone!!
