LeBlanc Paris Model 797 Bb Piccolo Trumpet c 1970s. Serial is 25807 (I believe this places its manufacture somewhere in the 1970s). Estate trumpet, has not been played in some years. Trumpet has a dent on last bend before the bell (see photo closeup). Also has signs of normal light wear: small scuffs, light wear, dust, etc. Mouthpiece is a LeBlanc “G”. Overall, appears to be in good vintage condition. Valves move freely and have good positive response. Please consider that we recommend having this trumpet cleaned and generally serviced before putting it back into consistent use. Case includes key to both locks. Please see all photos. Antique Vintage Old Wooden 1 Key B Flute Fife Piccolo Farquharson London

Up for sale is my 19th. Century wooden piccolo in B. This instrument is in good condition, apart from the missing crown, and in full playing order. There is a neat crack repair to the head, which is sound, and a natural inclusion to the rear of the head (see photos 2 & 3). This instrument plays at A = 440 Hz in B natural, with a sweet, clear voice. It is marked on the head and body J. (see photo 8), dating this piccolo to the late 19th. Couesnon Monopole F/G Trumpet. (Piccolo) 1960’s Vintage, Rare, Collectors

Rare, Collectors: Couesnon Trumpet in F/G. Letter N on the 2. Valve right side, as well as Crest and Conservatoire Paris on the left side. Letter B on lead-pipe receiver. The instrument feels and sounds typically French-styled. There is undoubtedly reach into the classic Maurice Andre / Selmer sound and style. Within its context, the instrument bore is unusually/ interestingly large at 11.56 mm (0.455), which I measured at the first valve pipe. Bell diameter is 120 mm (4.724 inches). I find it warm, open and forgiving. I have never spotted evidence of any previous repair on this instrument. The lacquer sparkles and tiny blemishes are hard to spot. Please zoom in on the area of the leadpipe in line with 2. Valve, to see light surface scuff in the lacquer here. I don’t want to buff it too vigorously. The valves are quite pristine and glide beautifully. This instrument is a tribute to great master-craftsmen of its time. Devotees will know that Couesnon serial number records were lost in a fire, (two, in fact), and so the serial number 37495 confirms little. The last digit is not penned in, but this confirms that it is a 1960s vintage. Four other mouthpieces will also be supplied, that I have found to work well on the instrument. They have been altered in a way that they can only be fitted to this instrument. Their outer shanks have been specially milled to take the place of the removable/ tunable lead-pipe receiver; consequently, bypassing the need to use cornet shanks. I found this innovation to be very successful. These pieces are as follows. Jupiter 10 ½ C. Engineered and nickel-plated identical copy of the Amati 7EW that I use on my YTR 9830 (My favorite). Please note that the Instrument is in South Africa. Small shifts I will absorb. USA CANADA MEXICO – 211 USD. Europe/ UK/ Middle East – 147 GBP or 162 EUR. Sub Saharan Africa – 2245 SA Rand. Rest of world 237 USD. Arrival in country of destination should not exceed 4 days. Reference will be supplied. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. Up for sale is my 4 key Cocus Bb. Piccolo made by Henry Potter of London (1859-95). Stylistically, it appears to be an early example of this maker’s work. Made from quality hardwood, and Nickel Silver keys, this lovely instrument is in full playing order, easy to play at 455 Hz. And has a surprisingly powerful rounded voice. There are a few historic crack repairs to head and ring (see photos 2-4) which are sound. Other than this, the piccolo is in very good overall shape. Stamped with a B. And then (Unicorn) “POTTER LONDON” on the head, and (Unicorn) HENRY POTTER. B on the body. Vintage Camco Oaklawn 3 1/2 x14 Model 702 Jazz Model Snare Drum, Extremely Rare

Vintage Camco 3 1/2 x14 Oaklawn Jazz Model Snare # 702-P. If you’re reading this you already know how rare and collectible this snare is. This is the 8 lug maple Model with the original rolled COB hoops. Camco only made this model for a couple of years and hardly any of these are around anymore, especially the wood version. When I received the snare it didn’t have the original beer tap strainer and butt, but had extra holes where a replacement strainer and butt had been. The black wrap was in poor shape and it was removed and the holes were properly plugged with solid maple dowels. I sent the shell to Precision Drum who did an amazing job of recovering it in a beautiful Silver Sparkle wrap. Shell is solid with no cracks, chips or gouges and the bearing edges are original and in superb condition. I added a George Way/ Dunnett reproduction strainer and butt, and a set of Puresound wires. The factory Oaklawn badge is clean and tight to the shell. Original early George Way solid lugs, 1st Generation COB rolled hoops, short Camco t-rods and chubby washers. The resonant COB hoop has a very small hairline split which can be seen in the picture just below the drum key holder. It was nicely attended to with a bit of JB Weld and it’s completely solid. The drum key holder is original Camco but the drum key is not. Top head is a coated Remo Diplomat and the resonant an Evans clear. This is a rare piece of Camco history. It’s really an amazing little snare and it sounds incredible. Please take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.
