
Silver FLUTE Handmade by PAUL KREBS 900/100 Sterling Silver Good Condition














Handmade silver flute crafted by Paul Krebs in Germany around 1970. Made of 900/100 sterling silver. Original body, foot joint and case. The head joint is not an original one. Original head joint has had lip plate made of ebonite or something similar. This head joint is from Yamaha flute, silver or silver plated. Flute has an amazing sound and original feeling, however the mechanism needs regulation and some pads should be replaced. Serial number is 72100. Body/keys has some small chips. Collector’s item, rarity. In Erlbach, where he later also worked as a journeyman (until 1939). After the war, he worked as a woodwind instrument maker at Karl Bauer’s company starting in 1948. He passed his master examination in 1951 and founded his own company in 1953. This joined the PGH Sinfonia in 1961, which became VEB Sinfonia in 1972 and later VEB B&S from 1984 onwards. In 1980, the workshops of Gust. Uebel and Paul Krebs merged to form Flötenbau Erlbach.
