Antique F. E. Olds & Sons Trombone, Super Olds 2-Tone Musical Instrument (1930s)

FE Olds & Son trombone, as pictured. The instrument shows wear from age & storage. Some tarnish & oxidation is present throughout, particularly on the silver-color bell, the outer slide, and the braces. Multiple areas where the silvery-gold paint is coming off, etc. The inner slide looks rather nice. The bell section has scuffs throughout. Inspect the close-up photos closely to see the extent of the wear (particularly photos 6-11). The silver trim on the bell is marked Made by FE Olds & Son Los Angeles, Calif. ” and “Super Olds, along with a a decorative, geometric pattern. The trombone is marked in a few places with serial numbers. The bell section where the slide attaches is marked “1 1/2 10404″. The slide piece that attaches there is (seemingly) marked “LM 10648″. The water key is marked “10648”. The bell has a diameter of 7 1/2-inches. The outer “slide holes” measure 5/8″ & 1/2″ in diameter. Includes the two pictured mouthpieces, which are marked “Reynolds 8A” and Vincent Bach Corp. It probably needs to be restored before it can be played. No cases or additional accessories are included. Wessex Piccolo Trombone with Case and Stand

Wessex Piccolo Trombone with Case and Stand. Trombone shows normal signs of use; i. Scratches and minor abrasions. There are three small dings on the trombone that I attempted to photograph. You should be able to see the two inside the bell. I’m uncertain, as to the age of this instrument. But, it plays well, and does not appear to have any issues which might impair its playability. Brass slide trumpet (some call this instrument a piccolo trombone) by Getzen. Condition is used, some wear on inner slide tubes, signs of previous solder at outer slide brace. Slide action is 7 out of 10. Plays OK, nice unusual piece. Takes a regular stem trumpet mouthpiece. There are numbers on the inner slide example 1,2,3,4 etc. I see no major dings, dents, scratches or other issues. No case or mouthpiece included. Can provide more photos, info. E. F. Durand Slide Trumpet / Piccolo Trombone Model TRS-200N, Bb

For consideration is an E. Durand slide trumpet, model “TRS-200N”. For what it is, this instrument is in nice condition overall and only has very minimal wear. The slide has minor wear, but performs well. The finish is complete, with only an occasional light scuff and a few marks on the bell bead. It is in Bb, has with the original, lightly used case, and comes with a generic “7C” mouthpiece. Pitched one octave higher than a tenor trombone, the Jupiter 314 also uses a. 452 bore and a 4-7/10 yellow brass bell. Its all yellow brass construction is complete with a lacquer finish. Instrument is in overall EXCELLENT++ CLEAN Condition from general use & careful storage by a professional brass player, NO DINGS/DAMAGE/SCRATCHES/LEAKS etc. Only showing a bit of wear around the slide lock/brace area. Includes a BRAND NEW bottle of SLIDE-O-MIX. (Please see the MANY hi-res photographs included or contact for further information).
