Yamaha YPC-81 Piccolo Grenadilla Wood Professional Flute Tested Used. YAMAHA YPC-81 Piccolo – Excellent Condition (S/N: 21830). This listing is for a YAMAHA YPC-81 Piccolo in great condition. Body Material: Grenadilla Wood. Keys: Nickel Silver with Silver Plating. Cleaning rod included (not shown in photos). Used for about 5 years in a community orchestra, alternating with the flute. After leaving the orchestra, mostly unused for 10 years. Used for 1 year by a child in a marching band, then stored unused for another 2 years. Previous overhauls or pad replacements are unknown, but a balance adjustment and maintenance were done before giving it to my child. Since the main instrument was the flute, the pads and key plating remain in relatively good condition. Tested recently, and it plays smoothly from the lowest to the highest notes. Gemeinhardt 4WSSK Professional Piccolo Grenadilla, Solid Silver Keywork
Vintage Gemeinhardt 4WSSK Professional Wooden Concert Piccolo. This piccolo has a grenadilla body and head. The mechanism is solid silver. The instrument was handmade and features hand finished undercutting to the toneholes and head. Serial number puts the year of manufacture at approximately 1990. This instrument plays beautifully. Excellent scale and response. Nice even, dark, round sound across all registers. Whisper easy high range, very sweet sound. The mechanism is in great condition and the pads look like they have plenty of life left in them. The piccolo comes in the original French style leather covered case. The case shows signs of wear including scuffs and wear spots to the exterior leather, primarily on the corners. The case still latches and functions well, and is clean. It stores the instrument well. Included is a brand new nylon Emerson case cover with shearing interior. I used it occasionally in grad school and some teaching. Could be a great deal on an awesome pro horn for someone. Comes with silver-headed flute, case, carry bag, and cleaning rod. Model: YAMAHA / YFL-451 – Material: Silver head – Accessories: Case, carry bag, cleaning rod Condition There is some blackening and scraping. The areas with the most noticeable scraping are circled in yellow. Please see the photos. The carry bag is very clean. I used it for two years about 30 years ago, and it has been sleeping at my parents’ house since then. I have not wiped it down because I don’t want to apply too much force. I have confirmed that it can produce sounds in all scales. Please perform maintenance yourself. If that, please let us know within 30 days you got the item.
