Gemeinhardt Silver/Gold Piccolo Limited Model 4RKG Including Hard Case

Limited model Gemeinhardt 4RKG piccolo. This has a solid silver head joint, gold lip plate, silver plated body & keys, and white gold springs. This was my ex-spouse’s piccolo in marching band in the USA – it was in regular use & maintenance, and since then has been carefully stored, away from damp, heat, and sunlight. Great condition with any marks being consistent with age & use – it has never been abused. I’m not, and never have been, a woodwind player so can’t exactly test, but all valves appear to move and work fine. It could do with a proper polish – i. T may need a service, it may not – I make no assumptions or statements as to this. Hard case includes cleaning rod. I’m now c. Leaning out my storage unit from a past life – I hope this can go to a good home. Any questions drop me a message. Could potentially do a deal on both together. She had an accident involving her jaw, which would not allow her to play flute or piccolo any longer. I had it checked out by a professional flutist and it is in excellent condition. It comes with hard case, cleaning rod and end cap. Comprised of Grenadilla wood material and epoxy. All of the sound properties of a fine Grenadilla wood, but without susceptibility to cracking in extreme weather conditions; a professional level piccolo that can safely be taken outdoors. Wave design embouchure lip plate allows for an easy transition from flute to piccolo; the lip plate feels familiar to the flutist. The wave design allows players to focus the air stream easier, resulting in quick response and evenness in tone production. The long bell projects a naturally brilliant sound without extra effort, which makes the trumpet at home in large halls or churches.
