Antique Carl Fischer Grenadilla Closed Hole Boehm Flute Nickel Silver Keys C Ft
This listing is for an antique Carl Fischer (Germany company stencil brand with Carl Fischer as the importer) flute in grenadilla wood with nickel silver a. The configuration features Boehm system with nickel silver closed hole French-pointed keys, offset G, Bb trill, C foot with ebonite roller and teardrop D#. This flute plays well as-is and the pads are in great shape but we would recommend having a COA a. “Tune-up” to have this flute put in optimal playability. There is one hairline crack on the headjoint by the metal socket, one previously repaired hairline at the bottom of the headjoint and there appears to be a tiny hairline through the D# tonehole but we didn’t disassemble it to see if it was old and repaired or more recent. Again the pads are in fabulous shape so just a little further TLC and the flute will be a great player! We believe this flute was actually manufactured by Adler. Andreas Eastman (Haynes Amadeus 500/520) Flute EFL-220 Open Hole C Foot
Eastman is the owner of the William S. So it’s no surprise that the body style is this flute heavily favors the Amadeus 500 series. This flute has inline G, open holes, c foot, and is plated. This will need some work to play in excellent condition as you can tell in the demo video. The thumb key is sticking some and the F adjoining keys appears to need adjusted causing airiness below G. This is just what I noticed and a skilled tech will be able to make recommendations. It comes with the case which does not have the Eastman logo on it. Serial number was written in a paint marker of sorts. This would make a nice step up from a student model or for the serious beginner.
