The areas with the most noticeable scraping are circled in yellow. Please see the photos. The carry bag is very clean. I used it for two years about 30 years ago, and it has been sleeping at my parents’ house since then. I have not wiped it down because I don’t want to apply too much force. I have confirmed that it can produce sounds in all scales. Please perform maintenance yourself. If that, please let us know within 30 days you got the item.

This Yamaha 385II Open Hole Flute comes with a case and is perfect for any musician looking for a high-quality instrument. The flute is made with a silver head and has a beautiful silver color throughout that is sure to catch the eye of anyone who sees it. It is designed with open holes and is ideal for players who want a flute that is easy to play and produces a great sound. The instrument is made in Japan and is of the highest quality. Looks like it’s in great shape. I read it’s open hole but it looks like rubber pads were added to make it a closed hole, which I’m sure can be removed easily. I’m no flutist so you be the judge. Pads look to be in good shape- little to no wear. Maybe a light scratch here or there but in excellent shape overall. Comes with flute, case, and cleaning rod.
