Sonor Lite LD400 Piccolo Snare Birch 1986 Creme White. This snare is in almost new condition despite being 34 years old. There are no blemishes on the shell and minimal pitting on the die cast hoops. I replaced the Sonor snare wires as they were stretched and it now has Puresound wires which are nice and sensitive. It also has new Evans heads top and bottom. While it can certainly be tuned as a piccolo snare it actually has quite a warm tone and solid mid note if tuned to medium tension. Its versatile and belongs with someone who will play it, record it or display it. It comes with a the original fibre case in okay condition. If you want to see some fantastic use of this model, search YouTube for Benny Greb and Johnny Rabb (before Benny developed his signature snare)… Its a wonderful and humorous battle of snares between these two greats.
