This one was manufactured around 1984 and is in wonderful condition. The valves are classic Getzen, fast, quiet, smooth and responsive. The sound is lyrically centered with a pleasing refined timbre. All slides are free and functional and this trumpet looks closer to a one year old horn than one that is 35 years old. If it weren’t for a few light scratches on the third valve casing and leadpipes it could pass as a new trumpet. Included is the original Getzen case which shows wear but is structurally sound with working latches and a solid handle.
