Lead Trumpet MPs. Al Cass. La, Velle, Reeves Boom
Here are Three lead Bb Trumpet mouthpieces. The Al Cass 4×24 heavily associated with Dizzy Gillespie. Also we have the La, Velle mouthpiece also associated with dizzy. While Dizzy did in fact play on a La Velle MP. This particular mouthpiece has a 14.60 diameter with a very shallow cup and a #17 throat specifically built for lead Trumpet playing or jazz combo work. The (Boom) Reeves mouthpiece is the brain child of Artist trumpeter Dan Rosenboom. The rim is shaped quite differently than the normal Bob Reeves we are all familiar with. This rim is much closer to a standardized Bach 1.5 rim (IMO) the cup is Med/ Shallow with a rather large diameter of 17.26mm a slightly larger diameter than a Bach #1. Which is 17.00mm. The throat is quite normal using a #27 drilled size hole. All Gold showed in the pictures are of 24K Rolex jewelry grade Gold plating. Any questions please feel free. I may sell separately!!
