Yamaha YPC-32 Piccolo – Plastic Body, Metal Headjoint. Original hard shell case. This instrument has been well-loved! The painted logo has worn off but the engraved model number is still present. Good beginner instrument. Plastic body impervious to temperature changes, metal headjoint very similar to that of the flute. Good projection, frequently used in marching situations. Decent for concert situations but harder to play at extremely soft dynamics, especially in the upper register. Please note: Cosmetic damage from being owned for over 10 years. The metal piece that holds the cork seems to have rotated, the line-up arrow for the headjoint is not in the proper location. Doesn’t affect the instrument but looks a little weird. It plays, but it’s very leaky; to get it to sound, the keys have to be pressed down rather hard. Some felts will have to be replaced, please see photos.
