Pearl makes interchangeable shells in other materials to swap out to completely alter the timbre and tone of the drum. It is sensitive and responsive from press rolls to open rolls. This drum was made in 1996 and is used. It has spots of tarnish, minor nicks and scratches consistent with normal use. It could use new heads and a good clean and polish but it is structurally and mechanically in excellent condition. Included with this drum is a Humes & Berg vulcanized hard fiber carry case.
