Antique Rittershausen C Grenadilla Wood Piccolo A-440hz & Original Case Berlin
We recently decided to keep a Bettoney wood flute & piccolo set instead so it’s time for the Rittershausen to find a new home, sadly! This piccolo is in great shape with the usual discoloration to the nickel silver keywork. The keywork is Boehm configuration with inline G and Bb trill key with French-pointed keys on the backside and the D#. It’s pitched in C at A-440hz and made of grenadilla wood. There are NO CRACKS and the mechanism moves smoothly however it will need new pads to be a daily player. Embouchure hole is sharp and round in flawless condition. The original case, sadly, has seen much use and the seam has split (very common) on the back. Piccolo has been kept in a humidity-controlled environment in a nonsmoking home.
