This Ian McLauchlin hardwood grenadilla headjoint is custom made for the Yamaha YPC32 piccolo. (Photographs show the headjoint fitted to the Yamaha instrument and also it fits in the case). Please note it cannot be adjusted to fit other makes of piccolo. This headjoint transforms the tone of the student instrument Yamaha YPC32 completely and is a joy to play. It has a’wave’ or’reform’ shape, giving a more immediate response, and makes articulation easier for many players. This is an affordable way to upgrade the student instrument. It has only been played intermittently, hence excellent condition. Here is some info from the shop which sells these headjoints. Upgrading your piccolo headjoint can vastly improve tone, articulation, response and depth of sound throughout all registers. These headjoints are made from top quality instrument-grade Grenadilla-wood for quality of sound and maximum resistance to cracking.
