90’s Model G4176. 4″ x 14″ PICCOLO SNARE DRUM. Pictured on Page 176 In Rob Cooks Gretsch Book. 6 Ply Jasper Maple Shell. Lightning Throw & Fish Tail Butt. 5540 Muffler Tone Control. Very Good Cosmetic Condition. Shell Has Little to No Fading. Only Mild Pitting – If Any. Needs Some Attention To Operate Properly. And Deserves A Second Chance as a Player. May Have been A Prototype or Custom That Didn’t Workout. 1 No Snare Beds Cut. Snares Rattle Against Bottom Head Creating Snare Buzz. 2 Lightning Throw & Fish Tail Butt Don’t Fit 4 Drum. Strap Screws Scrape Bottom Hoop. Hard To Get Proper Wire & Head Tension. Contributing to Snare Rattle. 3 Not Enough Clearance Between Throw Lever & Hoop. Lever May Scrape Top Hoop &/or Release. Still A Nice Drum. A Diamond in the Rough. (we are not talking about golf here). Different Wires May Work (I tried Puresound). Likely Best to Cut or File a Snare Bed.
