This Selmer Pic plays exceptionally well. Lacquer finish and it does have some places where the lacquer is worn. I tried to show it in the pictures. Ready to play just like it is. Has both the A and Bb pipes. Uses trumpet shank mouthpieces. Maurice Andre played this model for many years. I like the warmer sound of the Selmer over several of the Schilke designed pics. For sale is a gorgeous and extremely rare Kanstul made F. Besson Bb/A piccolo trumpet with a Blackburn A leadpipe. Fantastic condition, and a wonderful playing instrument. With a very dark sound for a piccolo, it plays more similar to the Scherzer than the Schilke, due to a larger bore size of. Super smooth valves and slides. No rot or rust. No major dings or dents, one very small one in the bell from mute changes. Some patina on the outside of the raw brass Blackburn pipe, however this can be cleaned off. Original leather case included. Selmer Bb piccolo trumpet

Selmer Bb piccolo trumpet – the same model used by French trumpeter Maurice Andre as well as many other top players – in very good mechanical order and good cosmetic condition. There has been some damage to this trumpet in the past. Somebody at some point has pushed something down the bell, which has created some ridges. There are some marks in the lacquer where these have been removed. There is also some frosting of the lacquer around the bottom of the bell near where it emerges from the first valve where a dent has been removed. Other than these two points it looks very good and certainly plays just like a top branded trumpet ought. All the slides and valves work just fine. There is only the Bb shank included, although this does pull far enough to allow for playing in A – there is a mark cut on the shank to show approximate location for this. It comes complete with the original Selmer case. I’m offering express domestic carriage free includinginsurance. Non UK buyers should be wary of GSP, as this can be very expensive. An incredible option for the Brandenburg concerto, and a lovely warm sound for all sorts of playing. I have used this instrument professionally for quintet, orchestral music, and all sorts of chamber music applications. It takes a trumpet shank mouthpiece, however I usually use the same cornet shank mouthpiece I use on my Bb/A piccolo piccolo trumpet with a cornet to trumpet converter.
