Used Piccolo

Used, no dents, working condition, slides working properly, comes with mouthpiece (unbranded). Made in USA, probably 60-70 s. I think that this is a Piccolo Trumpet, with 3 valves instead of 4, fixed 2nd tuning tube a sure indication it’s a Piccolo. Tuning tube throw out ring (underneath) for intonation adjustment. Ponte Music Company, based out of New York City, way back in the 1930’s til about early 1980’s, was a musical instrument. It was a stop off for very many. Of those musicians as a shop with musician owners (the Ponte brothers) who catered to the special needs of the musicians. Ponte eventually started getting instruments made for them (late 60’s-70’s) and I think this Ponte Special Piccolo Trumpet. Is from that “stencil” period (instruments made by big companies for smaller ones or for music shops). This Ponte Special looks very well made with nice little features, like that 3rd tuning tube ring soldered underneath and its. Tuning slide stop to keep slide from coming off when left hand ring finger “throws out” tube for lowering pitch of notes for accuracy. The trumpet is 22 cm long. Ready to be played.
