Used Piccolo

Haynes Db Wood Piccolo For sale is a grenadilla piccolo tuned to Db and made by Haynes in 1916. It is a low pitch model tuned to A435, which is low for today’s orchestral groups, but is fairly well suited to Irish and folk music. The serial number is 3736, and the date was obtained from Haynes directly. This instrument is used, and does show the signs of being nearly 100 years old. The pads are on the older side, but it plays pretty well as is right now, though it could easily use some professional adjustments. The keys appear to be silver, though I’m not sure if they are solid silver, and they are tarnished. The headjoint is in pretty good condition, with no noticeable unrepaired cracks, but there are two spots that appear to have cracks sealed. It does come in a case, but the case really needs replaced.
