For sale is handcrafted in Poland Piccolo Bass Guitar with tremolo bar. Made in 90’s by MEG Elecric Guitar. MEG (Mensfeld Electric Guitar) was a small luthier’s workshop founded by Maciej Mansfeld in the 90’s. Mr Mansfeld, on the other hand, was one of the most famous Polish luthier producing guitars and basses since the late 1970s. During the communist era, it was not always possible to arrange the best parts for them, but these instruments were solidly made from well-seasoned local wood. Mensfeld finally emigrated to the USA where he worked, among others for Washburn, Parker and Lakeland. The instrument has 24 frets with good access to highes positions. It is well balanced. It has a groove in body for a more comfortable slap. Special single coil / humbucker passive pickups have a clean, strong signal. Nice maple neck with angled head and beautiful high gloss piano black finish. The body is most likely an alder. It is a solid, well-designed and made instrument. Who said only guitarists can have fun? If you do not need a movable bridge, you can always block it, e. By placing a piece of wood under it. Originally it was just “plain” bass. Converting to piccolo and adding a tremolo were done by me. Has a lot of abrasions, scratches and bruises. I tried to show them in the pictures. Besides, it works flawlessly. Fresh piccolo strings from Dadario. The price is for instrument itself. Feel free ask any questions.
