Getzen Eterna 940 Silver Plated Piccolo Trumpet. Getzen has maintain the most consistence quality of materials and workmanship in their manufacturing of trumpets, and this is a fine example. As a player, I find it to be right there with the Schilkes and consider it a much better value. The valve’s are classic Getzen, fast, smooth and responsive. The trumpet looks very good. It is not mint (like new) but very close with minimal wear. Included is the original hard Getzen case, also in excellent condition. This is a GREAT Getzen 4 valve piccolo trumpet. Getzen makes a consistently excellent piccolo trumpet with great response intonation and feel. This one is in excellent condition. It includes only the original A leadpipe but it shouldn’t be too hard to find a Bb one. Original lacquer is near 70% and spotty. Valves and action are excellent and this horn plays great as is. Getzen 940 Eterna Piccolo Trumpet in excellent condition with no dings or scratches. Serial# P01932 indicates that it was manufactured in 1992. I have owned it for the last 16 years. The Schilke 14A4A mouthpiece works well for this horn, playing in Keys of A and B flat. Valves are in great shape for it’s age. Valve action is very smooth and super quick! Their Eterna series is a favorite of Pros and Teachers alike. Ours is not mint, but is very nice :. It has never been abused or repaired but has a little finish wear at the top of the 3rd valve. As the pics show, this fine instrument still looks beautiful! . The valves are EXCELLENT, perfect plating, responsive, and vgood compression. All slides are free moving and the water keys work fine. This is a really nice playing Getzen 940 professional piccolo trumpet in great shape. It comes with both Bb and A pipes. It does have a very slight line in the bell flair from a small repair that was done (see pic 5), but other than that it’s in fantastic shape and ready to be played. Getzen Eterna 940 A/Bb Piccolo Trumpet

Up for sale is my Getzen Eterna model 940 A/Bb Piccolo trumpet. It comes equipped with the original Bb pipe which receives a cornet mouthpiece. I misplaced the A pipe many moons ago. I bought this horn new in NYC and used it for the entirety of a limited-run Broadway production (“Thou Shalt Not”). I have since moved on to an XO Brass Piccolo Trumpet. This Piccolo Trumpet has a. 420 Bore, hand lapped nickel silver slides, a 3 5/8″ two piece “short bell. The valves are tight and nickel plated. It is made from yellow brass and is finished in clear lacquer. This horn is free blowing and has a great scale (it’s in-tune). This model was assembled at the Getzen Pro Shop around 2001. The serial number is P21356. This horn is in great condition. It has no dents and very few minor cosmetic scratches due to normal wear and tear. It has never had any damage and has never been in need of an overhaul or any kind of repair work whatsoever (I’m the original owner and I take care of my stuff). Included with the horn is a stock Jupiter 11AX cornet mouthpiece (back-bore specifically designed for Piccolo trumpet playing), the original case, paperwork and case keys. The case is in very good condition. The latch springs still work and the locks still lock. The lid does not seat entirely true and needs to be nudged slightly on the left in order for the left side latch to engage. Other than that, the case is very sturdy and will most certainly protect the instrument. Many players acquire Blackburn A and Bb lead-pipes for this model which receive a standard Bb trumpet mouthpiece shank. This is an option to consider.
