Split E mechanism is an amazing feature that comes standard – makes the notorious high E easier to voice in various dynamics and helps it respond quicker and more stable. Good intermediate piccolo, ideal for most situations and grade levels (younger students may need lessons to get used to the more advanced headjoint with lack of lip-plate). Tone and timbre are very close to that of wooden piccolos, especially when played by a seasoned flutist. I used this in many semi-pro gigs and people couldn’t guess that it wasn’t wood. — PLEASE NOTE: Some cosmetic damage/light scratches on the surface of the instrument, please see photos.
