Bach B-flat Piccolo Trumpet. Tunable long bell #311. Unique in many ways. Plays as wonderfully as it looks. This is an excellent horn for the Brandenburg, or how about this? For you guys that play musicals and need your picc to be closer to the microphone without having to lean forward so muchthis picc is a perfect solution. Yeah, I have heard some of you guys on the advanced videos of national tours and the piccolo trumpet sections disappear cause you aint gettin yo bell close enough to the mike, and the sound guy dont know when you be switchin horns, dude/dudette. The pictures of case and horn assembled are adjacent to a Jupiter 1600 B-flat trumpet to show length/size. Notice the unique bracing that wraps around the right side of the piccolo. Obviously, this is to supply a support for the right hand (thumb) to give the same feel as playing any other trumpet with a typical leadpipeand to help secure the port connection for the bell. Note this horn requires a cornet shank and is only in B-flat. With a little imagination and help from a trumpet artisan-friend, you could have a tubing insert perhaps either at the receiver or bell to turn it into A. Yamaha YTR 6810 4-Valve Piccolo Trumpet – Gold Brass Lacquer finish. It’s in very good condition, supplied with original Yamaha case, Yamaha 11A mouthpiece and both Bb and A leadpipes. Details copied from the Yamaha Web Site.. Piccolo trumpets are primarily used to play the exciting, yet demanding, 1st trumpet parts in Baroque literature. The 6810 features a small bore and bell size for superb tonal clarity and projection. It is easy to play, has a beautiful tone, and excellent intonation. They are converted to either Bb or A by changing the leadpipes provided. A fourth valve adds an extended range. Corrision proof and long-lasting. Exceptional tone and response. Hand-lapped valves and slides. Precise fit and smooth air flow. Unbraced inner outer tuning slide. Comfortably open with less resistance. One-piece drawn gold brass lead-pipe. Excellent intonation and response, proper resistance. One piece Yellow brass. Small 10.50mm (0.413). This is a used instrument but has only been played occasionally. There are some minor cosmetic blemishes to the gold lacquer, through normal usage where my hands are positioned on the instrument and a small scratch on the 1st valve casing (please see photographs). All the valve pistons are near pristine condition with a smooth and responsive action. I have included a Yamaha 11A mouthpiece which has seen better days, but is functional (see photographs).
