Yamaha SD493 Brass Shell Snare Drum (Made in Japan) This snare drum is in excellent condition. There are small scrathes on the shell. It measures 14 inches X 3.5 inches. It comes equipped with the original “Power Hoops” This snare drum feature ten tension lugs. The shell is one solid piece from the MADE IN JAPAN days of Yamaha! It has a nice tight, crisp sound, and rim shots sound great! There are numerous on the web showing legendary Dave Weckl, David Garibaldi, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Alex Acuña and others played on the same snare. Basically this is the culmination into the signature snares for those artist. Yamaha produced the SD493 snare drum from the late’80s to mid’90s Contain a good protected ANVIL FIBER CASE from that times.
