Mid-19th century one-keyed orchestral piccolo. No maker’s mark or other noticeable identifying markings. The tenon joint was originally wrapped with red thread which has been replaced with cork. If desired, the cork could be cleanly removed and the tenon re-wrapped with thread as it was originally. Unfortunately, there is a (repairable) hairline crack in the head joint. The piccolo plays easily as is. A fingering chart printed from online is included. You can search online for “The Flute Examiner” and find “anonymous one-keyed piccolo” on their site. There is a piccolo virtually identical to this one that you can view and read historical information on these piccolos. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
