TODS D-Styling Bauletto Piccolo Satchel
It was originally cream coloured and very dirty and I was not able to successfully clean it. So I hand dyed it myself. The results you see are the bag in blue in the rest of the photos. I make no guarantees that it’s perfect it’s not! , or that the colour won’t run it might! , but it’s still a very nice looking bag and very clean inside. I did lots of research on how to top dye leather and did a pretty good job, but because it’s only top dyed, the results aren’t the same as if the leather was factory dyed. Pearl Copper Free-Floating Piccolo Snare Drum
Pearl 14 Copper Free-floating snare in great condition. Replaced heads recently with Evans G1 and 300 and changed snare wires with genuine Pearl extra long. Free-floating design allows you to change out the shells to Brass, Steel, Aluminum etc. Without changing the actual chassis. The opposite side snare adjustment does not work but the lever side works perfectly. This snare is pretty rare, they don’t sell these new any longer. Couesnon piccolo trumpet
This is a Couesnon (Paris) Monopole Star long-bell piccolo trumpet with added fourth valve and two mouthpipe bits, one for Bb (with a cornet mouthpiece) and the other for A (with a trumpet mouthpiece). Couesnon never made a four-valve piccolo trumpet, as far as I know. The fourth valve, here, was expertly added, together with a new lead pipe, by a very skillful technician. The added parts were left as bare, unplated brass. The original silver plating is worn in typical places, showing that earlier owners used this instrument a lot. The valves and slides are in good shape: nothing is stuck, compression is good. There are no dents or dings. This is a loud, powerful piccolo, very well suited for big orchestral works. The intonation is good, with rather wide and flexible slots. Even after moving to the newer Schilke and Yamaha piccolos, Herseth continued to use this model for the D trumpet part in Ravels Bolero.
