Pearl’s superb “step-up” PFP-105E piccolo features composite “grenaditte” body and head joint and heavily silver plated keys. This piccolo is a recent trade-in instrument. It was hardly used and is in absolutely mint condition. Grenaditte composite body is impervious to temperature and humidity changes with no danger of cracking and stable intonation. Heavily silver plated keys. Split E mechanism for easier response on high E. Nylon canvas case cover. Pearl polishing cloth and cleaning rod. Made in Taiwan, not in mainland China. The piccolo is USED, but it’s MINT condition. It’s perfect with no blemishes what-so-ever, and has been thoroughly checked and adjusted in our shop. Originally we were a repair shop that specialized in woodwind and sax restoration. Today we have 18 employees including eight of the finest repair technicians in the country. After the body-shop works been completed, we swedge hinge-tubes tight again and re-fit them to the flute body. Finally, pads and corks are replaced and the instrument play-tested. Pre 1950 French flutes often require more than twice the restoration time that we need for a modern Haynes or Powell. We use thin double-skin pads of the highest quality and shim each pad in the manner of the best Boston makers. We dont float flute pads with shellac, as did the original Paris workshops. Its in addition to any factory guarantees. For two full years, we will repair or replace, whichever in our estimation is the more advisable, pads, corks, springs or other parts required, at no charge to the customer. Wichita Band Instrument Company maintains a repair department capable of restoration work of the highest quality. Even though repairs are essentially free for the first two years, after that period has expired, we remain at your service to maintain and repair your musical equipment forever. This piccolo has had one owner, is 6yrs old and has not had much use, it comes with the velvet lined hardcase with cork grease and Hammig soft carrycase. The difference between this model and the the 650/4 is purely solid silver keys and so the sound is the same and this piccolo having the upgraded headjoint is an added bonus.
