This Yamaha 281 open-hole flute plays great and appears to be in good used condition. It would be great for a student! The pads appear to be in good condition. They all seal well. The flute plays amazingly easily in all registers all the way from high C to low C! The body is in good used condition, and the flute goes together as it should. I see only a small pinpoint dent on the bottom of the body. There is a little bit of tarnish in hard-to-reach places under the keys, and there is a moderate amount of surface scratches. The keys move freely. The hard case is in good used condition, with only normal signs of use. The latches and handle still work well. The flute comes with a plastic cleaning rod and 5 silicone hole plugs. This flute has not been examined by a professional.
