The baritone horn was originally owned for around 20 years by a professional jazz musician from New Orleans, USA, who brought it over to the UK with him, where I acquired it. It has had a fantastic life, gracing stages across America, but sadly, I do not play her anymore so it is time to pass her on. It doesn’t comes with any dents only you can see the marks of life. It has a few signs of wear and tear but the valves run extremely smoothly and it still sounds absolutely lovely. This is an extremely rare vintage FLUTE, made in very small batches. I have thoroughly cleaned and oiled it. Note that there is small mark pen marks on the body!!! And it can be cleaned.

This flute was my Great-grandfather’s. He was born in 1876 in Leipzig, Germany arriving in the U. When he was 12. He played several instruments quite well. This flute came with him from Germany. It may or may not be a Nach Meyer – I can’t see any markings. It looks like the wood may be ebony or possibly grenadilla. The one end is ivory (with a crack in it). The workings are likely German nickle silver. The length overall is 26. The case is leather with a soft material inside. It has been well taken care of. I have had it in my possession for nearly 30 years.
