Sterling silver head, body, for a bright, projecting tone. Open-hole, offset G, C-foot for advanced control and comfortable playability. Professionally inspected and adjusted; gig-ready on arrival. Listening Flute Project Analysis This flute has been evaluated through the Listening Flute Project’s Four-Quadrant method. Crown & Barrel Strikes : Balanced, dependable spiral response. Keywork : More aligned with Powell/Haynes traditions than Louis Lot, emphasizing durability and playability. Conclusion : A resonant, stable silver flute – a reliable workhorse for advancing players or professionals needing a solid second instrument. Each has been professionally inspected and prepared for performance before listing. That’s not how we operate here. What we offer is fairness, honesty, and instruments that are ready to be played with confidence. Why choose a flute from the Listening Flute Project? Every instrument we list has been evaluated as part of the Listening Flute Project – our ongoing work to document the geometry, resonance, and lineage of fine flutes. In today’s market, brand and model alone don’t tell the whole story – two flutes with the same nameplate can differ dramatically in quality and response. Our process removes that uncertainty: we identify strengths, flag weaknesses, and make sure what you’re getting is one of the better examples of its kind. With the Listening Flute Project, you step into ownership knowing the instrument has already been vetted for what matters most: its voice, its response, and its readiness to play.

Grenadilla Piccolo Flute by Marigaux
This is a Marigaux (SML) Piccolo, serial #54. It is full made of grenadilla wood, with what are assumed to be silver plated keys although they could be solid silver. This instrument is in very good playing condition. The piccolo was fully serviced in June 2024, which included a full re-pad with cork pads and several adjustment felts replaced with cork and teflon for improved key motion. Proof of this service with the list of work done can be supplied upon request. It was also overhauled several years ago and has been owned by a repair tech. It is an older piccolo and therefore does show some signs of wear, which do not effect it’s playability. This piccolo will come with its hard case and metal cleaning rod.
