Rare “Cigar” Uebel Professional Piccolo circa 1960 A very strange little gem: the ultra-rare “Cigar” piccolo, made in the 60’s in Germany by G. The famous and excellent Uebel “Cigar” soprano flutes are already hard to find, but I’ve never seen such a piccolo! This is a C piccolo with closed G#. Massive aluminum body, anodized in gold. Ebonite lipplate on a silver plated headjoint. Very high level of craftmanship, like every Uebel flute from this era. Plays pretty well on its old pads with a singing sound, except for the lower notes where there is some air leakage. Will benefit from new pads. Original case in excellent condition. Very few remain on the market today : they are so cherished by professional musicians and sought after by collectors.
