BEAUTIFUL AND RARE HANS REINER HANDMADE GRENADILLA WOOD PICCOLO (#120). Schöneck is a village near Markneukirchen southwest of Dresden in the heart of East Germany’s historic instrument making region. Hans Reiner learned flute making from his father Anton, who worked in the Philip Hammig shop. Hans completed his apprenticeship and worked with excellent craftsmen at the Gebr. Mönnig and Phillip Hammig firms. He became a master flutemaker in 1936, set up his own shop and his piccolos are some of the most sought-after in the world. 5% DISCOUNT – Can be offered, please contact me for details. The pitch is in C and it has a split E mechanism. Notes are beautiful and clear and the unique embouchure cut allows an immediate response. The quality is quite simply superb and we have stripped the piccolo and fully overhauled with new pads and cork. The mechanism has been cleaned, oiled and adjusted and there are no cracks.
