Antique Piccolo Walking Stick. This unusual instrument would have been carried by a musician gentleman during the Victorian Era. The piccolo head joint is made of bone. The barrel and body of the piccolo are ebony. The walking stick, made of a different wood, unscrews from the piccolo so the instrument can be played. The head joint is lined with metal but has a crack through the tone hole. There is a bone ball end on the piccolo which serves as the top of the walking stick. The barrel and body of the piccolo are marked with Berthold Speier, C A436. Bohne also appears on the body. 6 keys – all seem to be working.
