PHILIPP HAMMIG 650/2P PALISANDER WOOD PICCOLO WITH MODIFIED WAVE LIP. Hammig are renowned piccolo makers and are coveted by some of the world’s top players. B etween 1906 and 1920 the brothers Philipp Hammig and August Richard Hammig started to specialize the instrument making of the Hammig workshop. First both started learning their profession in their fathers workshop, then August Richard Hammig went to Saarbrücken and Philipp Hammig to Berlin to the firm Rittershausen to study specialized flute making. Palisander has a beautiful rich grain and gives a warmer sound than the Grenadilla models. They are not often seen on the used market and so are very sought-after models. This particular piccolo has the added bonus of a modified wave headjoint and it has silver-plated keywork. The condition is excellent throughout and the piccolo itself looks hardly used. Yamaha SFZ Marching snare drum. The internal wood shell was cut down to make this a 7.5 Deep Drum. The bearing edges on the bottom were not modified at all. Drum is complete and in working condition.
