There are minor scratches, small dents, and some tarnish consistent with age, but it remains beautiful overall. Performance: While it was functioning perfectly after the maintenance, the current operation has not been recently tested after a period of storage. Obelisk drums were a custom line hand built in Calgary AB over a period about 10 years from the late 1980s, using Keller maple shells. This piccolo snare drum has a white lacquer finish shell, and eight lugs per side. It has almost new Remo heads and brand new snare wires. It has very versatile tuning, and is currently tuned high for a super cutting sound. It is all in good condition, and provides a rare chance to acquire a piece of Canadian drum-making history.
