This listing is for a nice vintage Artley grenadilla wood piccolo in need of a little TLC but plays well as-is. The right hand rib has been pulled up a little (some missing rib screws in this area) and the pads are older but it does play well as-is and has no cracks. This piccolo was made by Roy Seaman for Artley’s line and is a great semi-pro American-made option for someone looking for an upgrade. This piccolo originally came with just the sterling silver headjoint but it paired beautifully with a new old stock Armstrong grenadilla wood headjoint to offer it as a fabulous combo. Again the pads are older, would recommend a full repad and the right hand rib to be adjusted/straightened, but it is playable as-is. There are some very lightly etched numbers we almost didn’t notice on the barrel, likely old inventory reference #. The wood could use a good cleaning and oiling from sitting also. Included with the set is a new Emerson carrying bag with new case to fit everything perfectly. We will be offering more instruments in a variety of specs and price ranges in the near future! ???? The Jupiter Di Medici flutes were designed by Altus before Azumi. Sadly they are no longer made as they play beautifully. This is a gorgeous outfit with solid sterling body, foot, and TWO Di Medici headjoints, the d3 & d6 cuts. The flute has offset G and split E mechanism. The D3 cut is more rounded and the D6 has a more square cut. These are headjoint upgrades from the standard D1 that typically accompanied these Di Medici flutes. The Protec Luxe case/bag is fantastic! I have a other that I couldn’t live without. There’s a place for a piccolo with two piccolo headjoints. There’s a roomy bag area to accommodate music with compartment for pencils and other small items. Can be carried as a backpack, briefcase, or with a shoulder strap, included. Handed down by my late Father, This Haynes Db piccolo comes with 2 Headjoints. Serial number is #11471. I called the Haynes Co. And was informed that it was manufactured in 1930 and should come with 2 footjoints one longer than the other and He is right. No dings or dents and the keys moves freely. It has developed very minimal tarnishings due to the long storage but looks great overall. I have only cleaned it with a polishing cloth. It will need new pads and cleaning. Pls look at the pictures closely to judge conditions. They were all in the same excellent condition including this last one. I can provide more pictures if requested. Philipp Hammig Handmade Wood Piccolo Model 650/2 Serial # 12706. Made from aged African Grenadilla wood with silver-plated keys. The model 650/2 also comes with a split E mechanism. This piccolo also comes with three handcut headjoints. This is an excellent example of a high-end handmade professional piccolo. It is in superb condition and has had limited use. There are no cracks, dings or checks to be found anywhere in the wood and the mechanism is free moving and blemish free. The instrument has a warm sound and facile response. Top octave is stable and dependable. Pitch is consistent throughout all 3 octaves at forte and pianissimo. It has the Hammig scale at A=442 and is easily tunable within a range both slightly below and above that pitch. The three headjoints are all excellent and each has its own unique playing characteristics. This offers a wide variety of musical and performance choices. Headjoints are as follows. Silver Headjoint is strong and bright and is also great when playing in a colder environment. Traditional Hammig wood headjoint is dark and sweet sounding with good projection. Wave style with thinned wood tube and raised lip-plate is very focused and clear sounding. The piccolo has Straubinger pads and was serviced recently in preparation for sale. It comes with two cases; the original Hammig leather case which carries one headjoint and a student level case that will carry the piccolo with all three heads. It may also benefit from an adjustment in 6 months or so after the pads, corks and wood react to general humidity and climate in their new home locale. Feel free to ask questions.
