Has been in storage for about 15 years. Bought it in early 2000’s. Has very minimal usage. Safe to say it needs to be tuned. Some light surface rust and pitting present. Both the snare and the stand need a good polishing.

Ludwig 70s L-405 Piccolo Snare Drum 13″x3″ Used Snare Drum. 1970’s Ludwig metal shell type piccolo snare with Blue&Olieve Badge in stock!! The popular Vintage Ludwig #405 (13″X3″, JAZZ COMBO size metal piccolo snare) is very rare. The individual condition of this item is also good, and all parts other than the head remain original. The blue LUDALOY sticker remains inside the shell. The staff has removed all the heads and confirmed everything from the inside of the shell, so you can use it with confidence. (There is also a theory that the late 60’s was also released) The shell material is the same as the 400, a radia alloy aluminum alloy, and is a jazz combo snare metal board. The hoop is an original steel hoop, and the strainer switch (P-84), butt part (P-32), and snappy are equipped with the current Radick 12 wires. In addition, the head is equipped with the current REMO coated ambassador. Its size is 13″ x 3″, so of course it features a tight and dry sound, but it also has plenty of volume and can be used as a main snare. I highly recommend it, especially for funk. Nice snare with great response and very crisp sound. Maple shell and hardware in good condition. Just installed a brand new Evans 500 bottom head. I don’t use this one much anymore as I have three other snares. I’ve owned this for several years. It has never been abused, and have always taken good care of it, as I do with all my gear. I originally bought this for the unique sound that only comes from a piccolo, and have been very happy with it. Just don’t need it anymore.
