The detachable bell is in pristine condition with perfect lacquer – valve section has light wear on holding pipe and very small ding on the 3rd valve out pipe which does not affect playability. The valve action is quick and light. Slides free and easy. The trumpet takes very little air and is a dream to play up high. The long bell projects a naturally brilliant sound without extra effort, which makes the trumpet at home in large halls or churches. This mouthpiece has only ever been played with this horn and is like new. Feel free to ask for any further information. Handcrafted to produce the warm, rich sound that blends so beautifully with other acoustic instruments, these instruments have long been recognized for their outstanding craftsmanship and performance. This particular piccolo is the top of the current range with carefully selected Grenadilla wood, solid sterling silver keywork and split E mechanism. The condition is superb throughout and has been fully overhauled although we have kept the used pads as they are well seated and have plenty of life. The silver is excellent and the condition of the wood superb. I do not know the exact age of the piccolo but it is the current range (#5575) and has obviously been cherished and regularly maintained. For those who have not tried a Roy Seaman piccolo then I would describe them as very similar in clarity of sound and tone to a Hammig..
