This listing is for a 1930’s era toy black teddy bear made by the Schuco Toy Company or the George Schreyer & Co of Nuremberg, Germany. I found him, two other bears and a monkey at a local estate sale. See the last photo and my listings for the the other animals. Taber’s burnt down in the 1980’s but the older locals remember the toy store as a magical place with huge stuffed animals and toys from all over the world. This is one of the rarest of Schuco bears from the Piccolo line. He is made of black mohair over a metal frame. He has black felt pads of his feet and hands and his nose is embroidered with brown floss. He has two black bead eyes and is jointed at the arms and leg. He wears a hand crocheted vest made of maroon wool. The vest is not factory issued but was made for the bear in the 1930’s. He measures 2 1/2 tall. There are some thin places in the mohair. This listing is for a vintage Yamaha 62 piccolo for restoration/repad. The wood is dry and needs to be oiled. The pads are old cork and the piccolo plays down to G. There is some plating wear – the E key plating worn, pitting on thumb keys, pitting on D#. Upon further inspection the headjoint has a very tight small hairline crack at the end of the headjoint socket. The body has no cracks, body tenon moves about 1/4in but not all the way around (common with wooden Yamaha piccolos), we’d suggest a full refurb, no case included. A dear friend of ours recently passed and we have been appointed to liquidate their flute collection. All flutes are from a non-smoking home and have been carefully stored in a temperature-controlled environment (no odors). Older wood piccolo, possibly 1960s. Head joint was repaired at some point, which causes the two pieces to fit at a very slight angle. It could possibly affect tuning. Pads need to be replaced.
