Pearl PF-501 Newly Overhauled New Case Excellent Flute

This is an excellent intermediate level flute that was made by Pearl in Japan. This maker has an excellent reputation and this example was just professionally overhauled to include removal of all keys, cleaning and polishing of the flute, rods and keys, installation and seating of all new high quality pads, replacement of corks and fully adjusting to factory specifications. Silver plating is in very good condition. There is a ding in the upper portion of the lip plate that’s not where you rest your lower lip and should have no impact on the performance of the flute. This flute comes in a new lightweight black case, with shoulder strap. Please Note: With this flute you’re getting a flute that is properly set up and is ready to be played. This is a respected Made in Japan quality brand, not a cheap Chinese knock off and as such, it will better retain it’s resale value.

Vintage sterling silver H Bettoney (Boston) Db piccolo with gold springs. This piccolo was overhauled a few years ago and played very little. It plays OK as is but it hasn’t been serviced since the overhaul so may require some fine adjustments. YAMAHA YPC-91 PROFESSIONAL GRENADILLA WOOD PICCOLO – BEAUTIFUL CONDITION. The wood is seasoned grenadilla and is handmade by Yamaha’s top craftsman. The toneholes are undercut and the mechanism is solid sterling silver with white gold springs and split E mechanism. This particular piccolo has been fully overhauled with new pads. The silver is excellent and the condition of the wood superb. Vintage E. Rittershausen-Conical Piccolo-Made c. 1920-Superb-Just Overhauled

Serial Number 4847-Made c. Collector or Player Look! There’s something magical about the sound of a vintage instrument. This one was made by one of the masters of instrument making! Emil Rittershausen trained under Boehm and Mendler in Munich and in Vienna. In 1905 Rittershausen won the Prussian Silver Medal and was named the “best flute making shop in the world”. This piccolo number 4847 was probably made around 1920. This lovely and rare piccolo is a conical bore with a bauble head and corked joint. The sounding length is 10 1/2 or 26.67cm. It plays at approximately A=442 and can be played at A=440 with the head pulled out a little. Mechanically it was found in very good condition. No cracks or chips in the wood. No evidence or wear or damage to the mechanism. The body is grenadilla and the keys are nickel and unplated. The springs are blue steel. Just overhauled with all new pads and corks and treated with almond oil to insure the wood is not too dry. All in all a great playing instrument with a strong robust tone on every note.
