Vintage 1970s CORP-era Vincent Bach 311 G Piccolo Trumpet in Original Lacquer
Vintage mid-70s (CORP-era) Vincent Bach 311 G Piccolo Trumpet in excellent condition and gorgeous original lacquer. Takes a cornet shank mouthpiece, which makes it a really versatile horn: play a medium deep cornet mpc and it’s a great’cheater’ horn for light, delicate rep; use a piccolo mpc and the horn’s register buys you access to Bb/A picc repertoire as well as C-Major concerti; and with a trumpet-style cup this horn can play a mean Ravel Piano Concerto, Pulcinella, etcetcetc. Pictures tell the whole story – the horn is very clean and straight. Some slight scratches in the original lacquer throughout and a very few tiny’pings’ (likely from mutes) in the bell. Lacquer loss on the bell bow and around the bell engraving, as you can see. It’s a wonderful-playing and sounding horn that has a long life ahead of it – check out the valves in the picture – they’re cleaner and more reliable than on horns of half the age!
